Privacy policy
Last updated: 01/11/2026
This policy explains what personal data the Islefix app and website collect, why, who can see it, and the rights you have. We’ve written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email support@anviitech.com.
1. Who we are
Islefix is run by Anvi Itech Limited, a company registered in Guernsey (company number CMP72476), registered office Flat 2 Clos du Valle Apartments, Les Mielles Road, Vale, Guernsey GY3 5AU. We are the controller of your personal data under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017, and we are registered with the Office of the Data Protection Authority (ODPA), registration number DPA11724.
2. What we collect

| Usage data | Everyone, only if you agree | Which screens are used and how, to help us improve the app |
| Payment data | Trades paying for a plan (and, later, customers paying in the app) | Handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number |
We don’t use your precise location (GPS). Islefix doesn’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for (performing our contract with you): matching jobs to suitable trades, sending quotes and messages, managing bookings and reviews, and sending notifications about them.
- To keep Islefix safe and trustworthy (our legitimate interests): checking trades’ documents, preventing fraud and misuse, handling complaints and disputes, and keeping the service secure.
- To meet legal obligations: for example keeping financial records and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
- With your consent: usage analytics, and marketing emails about Islefix. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app’s settings or by emailing us.
4. Who can see your data
Other Islefix users
- Trades see a job’s description, photos and parish if it matches their trade and area. They see your full address only after you book them, and only that trade.
- Homeowners see a trade’s public business profile, verification status, ratings and reviews.
- When a trade quotes on your job, you can see each other’s names in the chat.
- Reviews are public to everyone using Islefix, together with the reviewer’s first name.
Service providers
We use carefully chosen companies to run Islefix. They only process data on our instructions:
- Supabase: database, file storage and sign-in. Data is hosted in Europe west-2.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivering push notifications.
- Resend: sending sign-in and notification emails.
- Stripe: subscription and in-app payments, when these are introduced.
We may also share data where the law requires it, for example with the police or a court, or to protect someone’s safety. We never sell your personal data.
5. Where your data is stored
Our main data is stored in the Europe west-2 region. Guernsey law recognises the UK and EU as providing adequate protection for personal data. If any provider processes data elsewhere, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as approved contract clauses.
6. How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is open; deleted within 30 days of you closing it |
| Open jobs and quotes that never led to a booking | [12 months] after the job closes |
| Booking and payment records | [6 years] after the job, for disputes, accounting and legal reasons; anonymised if you close your account |
| Messages | [2 years] after the last message, or until you close your account |
| Verification documents | While the trade account is open, and [12 months] after closure |
| Reviews | While the reviewer’s account is open; removed when they close it |
| Crash and analytics data | Up to [14 months] |
7. Your rights
Under Guernsey data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data;
- correct data that’s wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data (see Delete your account);
- restrict or stop certain uses of it, including any based on our legitimate interests;
- give you your data in a portable format;
- stop using it for marketing, at any time.
Email support@anviitech.com from your registered address. We’ll respond within one month. It’s free in most cases.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Authority.
8. Keeping your data secure
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules in our database ensure each person sees only what they need (for example, addresses are hidden from trades until a booking). Verification documents are stored privately and seen only by the trade who uploaded them and our verification team. If a data breach could put your rights at risk, we’ll tell you and the ODPA as the law requires.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
